Here is the unedited soundtrack.
To edit these sounds I used a program called Audacity.
It was possible to cut down the length of the track to fit the trailer
It was also possible to use the program to make the sounds "Fade In"
To do this you highlight the part of the sound you would like to fade in then go to Effects > Fade in. its as easy as that!

Unit 64/65 Screen Saver Evaluation
For this project we were asked to create a Star Wars themed screen saver.
To be able to do this successfully I researched ideas and other star wars themed media. I did this by searching for ideas on the internet, in books and magazines etc. making sure that I had little similarities to other products on the market.
I created this moodboard to use as some inspiration.

I decided on creating more of just a space themed screen saver as i thought that the brief was quite restricting.
I used 3D studio Max to create the animation I would use in the screen saver. Having limited skills I decided to try something simple. This would be a spaceship orbiting a planet.
The two elements, a spaceship and a planet would be simple to make but look quite effective.
I used some tutorials to help me develop my skills with some of the tools like extrude as I had little knowledge of the program when starting the project.
I also used Adobe Photoshop for creating the textures for the elements in the screen saver.
I think that the screensaver would do well for the target audience it is aimed at which would really be any space fanatic.
If I were to create a second screensaver I would like to allocate more time on modelling to try and create a more realistic looking scene. Another thing I would do would be to try and create a more realistic backdrop for the screensaver maybe some kind of star field.
During this project I believe that I have developed some skills with working with 3D Studio Max and would definitely feel more confident attempting another project.
Overall I am pleased with my outcome for this project feeling that I created a professional looking screensaver that others can enjoy.
